Jackie & James - September 12th

Congrats to Jackie & James who celebrated their big day with their adorable two kids and about 100 friends and family on a warm Spring day. The ceremony took place at the Gold Creek Chapel and the festivities were capped off with a raucous reception at nearby Functions at Federation filled with lots of laughs. We drove into town for our bridal party shots and took advantage of the great backdrops like cherry trees in full bloom.

Shauna & Robin - September 5th

My first wedding back in Canberra after a summer in Canada was an appropriately Canadian affair with Shauna hailing from beautiful B.C. as well. Shauna and Robin had met while teaching in Japan, which makes for a great story. The small ceremony took place near the National Gallery Sculpture Garden overlooking the Carillion on a cool but sunny Spring afternoon. We managed to take advantage of the beautiful evening light and capture some great shots. The evening finished off with a dinner at Ottoman Cuisine.

Vivian & Dusty - August 22nd

It was quite a contrast going from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver to the laid-back quietness of Gabriola Island the next day, after two ferries to get there. Vivian's parents have a house built from timber on the property and held the reception in their barn. The location suited the couple's equally relaxed personalities and made for a special day for everyone there. The ceremony took place on volcanic rock over-looking the ocean in Drumbeg Park.
